It is not a question of imposing to the public a linear interpretation of the music which he listens to, but rather inviting him to create his own vision. A music suggestive of images and journeys, such is the essence of Atmâ … Printed by originality and rich in musicality, Atmâ is inspired by numerous different sources, it is an interbreeding of musical cultures, an artistic fusion, a way where composition and improvisation cannot be separated, an at once melodic and complex original music, a project with universal vocation … Of the creativity simply… Instrumental Music, but also with songs, Atmâ is the result of personalities' meeting stemming from various musical universes as the traditional and modern musics of India and from West. JP Biskup (guitars) [ member of the band Atmâ ] Guitarist and musician who collaborated with talented musicians in France such as Jean-Claude Exertier (Shaggy Dog Story, Climatik), Gaby Vegh (Gnô with the virtuoso guitarist Christophe Godin, Climatik)… Projects of collaboration are in progress with confirmed musicians such as Amrat Hussain (Dhoad Gypsies from Rajasthan, Amrat Hussain Trio), Christophe Godin (Mörglbl, Gnô, Metal Kartoon), Henri Serafini (La Luma), Mattias Eklundh (Freak Kitchen)… He met guitar legends Steve Vai and John McLaughlin, and was next to famous musicians such as jazz guitarists Sylvain Luc and Misja Fitzgerald-Michel, and rock guitarists Ron Thal (Guns N’ Roses, Bumblefoot) and Mattias Eklundh (Freak Kitchen, Art Metal Trio with Jonas Hellborg and Selvaganesh). Teepu Khan (tabla, vocals) [ member of the band Atmâ ] Virtuoso tabla player with Dhoad Gypsies from Rajasthan, and Jaipur Maharaja Brass Band. He played in all France and all around the world for big festivals (World Music Festival - Chicago, Lotus World Music Festival - Bloomington, Small World Music Festival - Toronto, Sunfest Festival - Ontario, Womad Festival, Jeux Olympiques d'Athènes 2004, Festival Nuits Atypiques de Langon, Festival du Bout du Monde, Festival d'Île de France, Théâtre Scène Nationale "l'Hexagone" à Meylan et Scène Nationale d'Annecy (FRANCE), Cabaret Sauvage - Paris, Festival de l'Abbaye de Sylvanès, Paleo Festival à Nyon (SUISSE), International Junction Festival - Irlande, Ethno Tempo Festival - Italie, Pirineos Sur Festival - Espagne, Amsterdam Roots Festival - Hollande, Massala Festival…). Amrat Hussain (tabla, vocals) [ guest of the band Atmâ ] Musician and famous virtuoso tabla player, he played everywhere in the world. Coming from India like Zakir Hussain, he moved to Italia and France. His main bands are Dhoad Gypsies from Rajasthan, and Jaipur Maharaja Brass Band, with whom he played all around the world. He is the artistic director of these bands. Amrat Hussain Trio is his personal musical project showing a rich and new music, improbable encounter of music from India and music from Occident… Amrat was able in particular to make the Carlos Santana's first part, to share the scene with Sylvain Luc, to play in the biggest festivals, meet international stars like Mick Jagger, and national french stars like Jacques Higelin.
