AudioDrop is the offspring of the Midwestern electronica group Sovereign Sect. The trio is comprised of former Sect keyboardist and guitarist CT Shoemaker, drummer and Sect auxiliary percussionist Alex Schleben, and bassist/keyboardist Lucas Petz. AudioDrop is the offspring of the Midwestern electronica group Sovereign Sect. The trio is comprised of former Sect keyboardist and guitarist CT Shoemaker, drummer and Sect auxiliary percussionist Alex Schleben, and bassist/keyboardist Lucas Petz. AudioDrop runs the gamut of electronic styles and adds into the repertoire remixes of classic tracks for added familiarity and appeal. AudioDrop uses sequencing and looping techniques similar to groups such as “EOTO” and "Future Rock". AudioDrops uniqueness lies in this ability to utilize digital tones and sequencing techniques without losing the dynamics and improvisational feel of a traditional band. Improvisation is a key component in AudioDrops live performance. Since there are multiple tonal musicians thrown into the mix AudioDrop has developed a unique method of live orchestration using headsets for communication onstage. Including multiple performances at the 10,000 Lakes Festival, members of AudioDrop have had the honor of performing other events with such acts as EOTO, Pretty lights, Ana Sia, Vib Squad, and KJ Sawka, to name a few.
