Audio Insight is a three-piece progressive rock band from Woodbridge, NJ. Our influences include an endless amount of progressive, experimental, alternative, and post rock, in addition to some hardcore punk and metal.
It was during spring of 2008 when Mike introduced Anthony and Dan for the first time. The meeting was marked by the long-awaited jam session in Dennis Martinez's basement that Mike and Anthony had been talking about for months. That one session sparked some chemistry between them as many covers were played, in addition to writing the early drafts of Crucify and Numb.
The band would continue to play in Dennis' basement until circumstances changed and the band was looking for a new home.
For awhile, Audio Insight bounced around from local studio to local studio trying to find a place to practice. During that time, two of the main studios the band experimented using were HellHound in Rahway, N.J. and AARIUS Studios in Sayreville, N.J.
After switching venues and taking a short stint using Mike's basement as a place to play, their permenant set-up has now relocated to Anthony's house where it will remain for the forseeable future.
Up next, the band is getting ready to perform at The St. Joe's Rock Show and compete in Round 2 of Jersey Shows 11th Annual BOTB, with a chance to play at Starland Ballroom!
Audio Insight brings something totally different to the table, with the inclusion of intense and passionate live performances that are home to some pretty awesome lights and lasers.
