Austin Simmons is an aspiring young artist who refuses to be held back by the boundaries of genre. No matter who is in the audience, everyone will leave with something to take home. Growing up in a small town of Julian, North Carolina, and later moving to King, North Carolina, Austin has had a wide range of musical influence and inspiration ranging from family members and friends to moments in life that he never wants to lose. His lyrics are inspired by life and conversation; so through a feeling of acceptance and connectivity, he may deliver his message to an audience of willing listeners. Austin Simmons was a contestant on AMERICAN IDOL season 9 and has performed with artists such as Ryan Cabrera Newsong, Fighting Instinct, Nate Sallie, Heather Cox, Akissforjersey, ect. Also having performed all over the east coast and other venues around the United States, such as the Kodac Theater in Hollywood, he plans to continue scratching the surface of mainstream music until he leaves a mark. Austin also strives to make his live performances into an experience for the audience to remember...not just another concert. He refuses to be an artist that only sounds good after studio editing and brings much more to the stage than ever could be recorded.
