A Verbal Equinox is an Alternative/Experimental/Avant-Garde Rock band from North Jersey, but that's only the politically correct way to put it. We're actually a revolting Circus-Core roller blade gang. We've been slowly taking over the world, currently being endorsed by Arkaik Clothing, and having shared a stage with bands such as D.R.U.G.S., Get Scared, Dr. Acula, and The Birthday Massacre, we don't plan on stopping. Our music sounds like nothing you have ever heard outside of in your dreams and the traveling circus. With a dark cabaret and vaudeville influence, we bring you the haunting sounds of strings, glockenspiels, music boxes piano, and other instruments you probably never thought existed. As well as Progressive/Metal influenced guitar solos and drums, Alternative Rock/Pop rhythm guitar and bass, topped off by a lovely female vocalist, who's influences are rooted in punk rock. As a 6-piece band of loony musicians well versed in the art of turning heads, we take the stage, and we don't ask for your attention, we steal it. There's nothing we love more than playing live, seeing your faces after we're done, and then apologizing to one another afterwards for invading eachothers personal space and/or attacking/biting eachother. But we won't bite you guys (a lot), so if you dare, give us a listen and come out to a show, just don't forget to bring an umbrella and a helmet.
