Producer, Writer, Artist, Jerry BabyChy Hunt, the New Bred of Unsigned Hype. Born into the foster care system of Chicago, Ill. 03-07-1987 and taken in by his grandparents, BabyChy overcame the obstacles associated with the troubles of urban youth growing up in a broken home. BabyChy quickly learned to become very independent, choosing not to hang around the negative street crowd, rather turning his attention to more artistic and creative outlets of expression. Growing up watching MTVs show The Box, BC was influenced by the rap group Cash Money Millionaires, leading him to want to become a professional rap artist. Landing his first gig in high school for the homecoming dance, BabyChy quickly became the hot topic around school. He and close friend Martell Pope created the group name Streetblockz, meaning struggle for the streets and hustle for the blocks, but this union was short lived and discontinued due to the relocation of Martells family. Not giving up on his dream and staying focused led BabyChy to new found Streetblockz collaborator and close friend E-N-A. This union resulted in the completion of Streetblockz first independent album release, successfully selling over 187 copies locally. The balance of writing music and completing school work took its toll on BabyChy. He then was forced to take a break from his rap career. At the death of his grandmother more complications aroused and BabyChy was returned to the foster care system. Being bounced from home to home until age 17, BabyChy eventually emancipated himself from the system and life took high road as BC completed the reminder year of high school living with close friend ENA and family. Not taking anything for granted BabyChy developed a motto “When you work hard for something, you deserve whats coming to you”. Enlisting in community college, and continuing to focus on his music, BabyChys well off to accomplishing his dream.
