Beyond the Skyline is a newly formed Pop/Rock band hailing from the Texas Coastal town of Victoria. Each member has brought their talent and passion for music together to form enjoyable, memorable music for their audience. Beyond the Skyline's current dream is to reach a peak within local fans and then grow to have their music heard by new fans throughout the Texas region. Eventually, they hope someday to reach a national audience and be heard on radio stations throughout the nation. Their music calls to a variety of people with upbeat tunes, tasteful lyrics, and desirable hints of pop. Common themes used in their lyrics consist of heartbreak, hanging out with your friends, and loving what you do; all concepts and experiences everyone at any age can relate to.
Beyond the Skyline's journey began in the Fall of 2009 when songwriter Greg Monette, (guitarist) finally got tired of the many failed band attempts he had put together and decided he wanted to do something serious. Greg had just started hanging out with a old friend and former band mate, Chip Cole (drummer), after having long hiatus from each other, and decided to ask Chip about joining him. Chip had just left a Country band called South King Runaways and decided why not join Greg in his endeavors. Together they set out to find band members with talent and similar music interests in their small hometown of Victoria. After many auditions the bassist, Jonny Ramos, was the first to join their lineup and after a couple more months of searching the singer, Paul Drozd, was found to much satisfaction, solidifying the band's lineup in the Summer of 2010. While the future is never predictable, Beyond the Skyline has huge aspirations and dedication towards their music. They are progressing and continually building from the previous comments and criticism from their audiences; making them feel as if they are doing the right thing.
