11/18/1990 Billa Boi was born as Justin Morris. He grew up on the west side of Chicago, IL for 18 yrs.’ until his family relocated to Indianapolis, In. But wait a moment! Lets back it up and tell you how it all started with this. Growing up as a child he never wanted to be a rapper he always wanted to become a police officer or a fireman because he wanted to save lives and become top chief one day. Since his mother was a preacher he rarely listened to rap music growing up because it was always gospel music playing every time she turned on a radio. But as he grew older his choices of music expanded. He start listening to smooth jazz which is his favorite genre of music to listen too, he actually goes to sleep every night with it playing in the background. Then came listening to rap music. He loved to listen to artist like 50 cent and Tupac, he never really had a big selection on artist is because he didn’t like too much of other artists music. July 1,2005 was the actual day Justin decided to become a rapper after encountering a hot beat and a little bit of studio time, he was currently 15 and just graduated from the 8th grade going into high school. His friend Bullethead who been rapping for years was the one who put him up to the task to freestyle a rap while the beat play on record. Once he was done rapping over the beat he sat back and reviewed himself rapping very well over and over which made him want to get another beat but this time he wrote lyrics instead of freestyling. Bullethead was very impressed with his ability to put a song together by it being his first time ever doing it. He was so impressed that he wanted him to become part of his rap group which go by the name of "Freestyle Fam", that name came along because everyone in the group never wrote a rap they just freestlyed every. He was kind of skeptical on joining because he didn't like to freestyle he wanted to write his lyrics but bullethead told him that he didn't have to freestyle if he didn't want to that its just a name and just a way they chose to rap, "You can rap however you want too, just make it a hit". He became more comfortable with my raps and started to rapidly progress. Years went down the line and he was making song after song after song so people could hear what he had to offer when it comes down to spitting some hot 16's on the mic. A lot of members on the team either been dropped or just chose not to rap anymore but he hung in there and actually became the last man standing, along with bullet head. He saw something in him, which gave him the idea to label him as the president of Freestyle Fam. All he needed now was a strong team to carry so they can make things happen. He encountered a few rappers who he currently to this day still rap with such as "Lil Moe", "itchy", and later on down the line who he grew up with "12G". Now that he has a set team behind him some things changed like their name, which is now "DFG"(Double F Gang. He was 18 when all this change in our group started to begin so he became wiser in his music making hits such as "Polo on my Body' and hits like "U know wat it iz" which made a buzz for them within the. Performing in shows such as The Taste of Austin and other showcases that dealt with cash prizes if the contestants progressed to the end, but one day his whole out look on music changed for the worst when his mom was getting married again and they had to move to Indianapolis, In the summer of 2009. He felt as that he wasn't gone be able to do music anymore because he was leaving his group behind, he thought my career was over with when it had really just begun. They moved to the Indy and got re-situated in the new city but he didn’t like it because he was away from my hometown and thought he was never going to step back into a booth ever again. So He actually put my music on pause because he was trying to figure out what he was going to do with his life, so he enrolled into The Art Institute of Indianapolis where he studied Graphic design and later on met a musical genius that goes by the name of "D. Smuve". He and Devon which is his real name become close friends after we found out one day that they both were rappers, D. Smuve was not your average rapper he also engineered the songs and was very skillful songwriter, he actually wrote some of Billa Boi’s hits that he performs today but his strongest field was writing R&B songs in which he excelled. He knew then that he was back in motion with his music cause he had someone who was trying to make it in the music business also so that was a plus. Eventually they started to make music, GOOD MUSIC. Which later turned into something different. D. Smuve stop rapping because he said his image wasn't really a rapper, and the he enjoyed more of the backside of things such as the writing and engineering, which made him to decide to become Justin’s manager and work even harder with him. D. Smuve being his manager was great move because D. Smuve is nothing but a businessman, he works hard even on his days off he works hard, there aren’t many like him. They became a team, which holds a strong management that D. Smuve is CEO over Memoirs Music Management (M3). Working with him has made Billa Boi a significantly better artist than before. He now has a different outlook on music, he thinks outside the box when it comes to the music. His range of music expands beyond money, drugs and woman. “We make what you call "GOOD MUSIC", nothing less”, claims Billa Boi. “I see myself one day making it to the top and striving for nothing but the best. My influences on my music would be my girlfriend Takia and my older brother Brandon aka "shorty b", I don’t really have any rap artist influences except for 50 cent and local artist that are trying to come up in the game also. I just want one day for my name to go down in history so I can inspire other artist that are trying to make it too”. I am Justin Morris, but I go by the name of "BILLA BOI" and I ain’t never stopping!!!
