History BISHOP A is a native of Houston, Texas and is classified as a Hip-Hop dance floor music artist. He grew up watching his mother and her brothers' band, “The Funk Factor”, performing at local Houston parties and night clubs. History BISHOP A is a native of Houston, Texas and is classified as a Hip-Hop dance floor music artist. He grew up watching his mother and her brothers' band, “The Funk Factor”, performing at local Houston parties and night clubs. He accredits a great deal of his love for music to that time in his life. He started out in hip-hop while in high school with a rap/dance group he put together called the "Cola Boys". This group was known for their ability to hype any party scene. Mission After completing a professional football and track carrier, BISHOP A was inspired to get back involved in music. After doing so, he developed a passion to create party music that would positively affect the world. The purpose of this music would be to allow people around the world to experience a party atmosphere that would be filled with dancing and positive energy. Past Accomplishments After two years of preparation, on February 25, 2005 BISHOP A officially started his career as a hip-hop music artist with his first hit dance single entitled "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes". This song inspired people to take authority over themselves and their physical body from the Head to the Toes and has a dance to help them express this authority. This single has played on local radio stations in Ohio, California and Texas. It has also played worldwide on internet sites like myspace, black planet and sound click. It has rated number 1 on sound click several times, and continued to stay on top of the sound click charts for over a year. Because of this dance songs popularity BISHOP A has had the opportunity to perform in several events throughout Texas and Georgia. This song has also allowed him to be interviewed on several radio stations. Present and Future Projects After the success of HSK&T BISHOP A officially released another dance single entitled Wash-N-Machine on August 1, 2008. This 4 version single has allowed him to perform throughout Georgia in events like the Sweet Auburn Festival, Heritage Festival and in the stage play “Be Very Careful What You Pray For”. He has also performed in venues like Studio 72, The Atrium, Club Paradise, The Red Shoe, Club Da Vinci, The Last Great Watering Hole and at Georgia State University. He has been interviewed on 89.3 in Atlanta and on Dirty South TV. He has also recorded a live video for the Regular Wash version of the Wash-N-Machine. He is due to release a new dance single entitled Toe Tappin' in December of 08'. This is the single to his first album entitled "FREEDOM PARTY". This album was produced by Keith “Versitile” Bell and due to be released in 2009. This album will be loaded with dance floor music from BISHOP A and will feature various artists. BISHOP says that this album is guaranteed to have you "do-n da do" no matter where you’re at!
