SONIC HUMAN BEHAVIOR/JASON FAIRBANKS BIOGRAPHY “I heard Jason Fairbanks / Sonic Human Behavior record (LIFE) for the fist time just recently and I was blown away by it. The song writing & vocal arrangements are fantastic! It's an amazing collection of great songs, as well as very technically advanced production. The record sounds great! You have to check it out!”- Slash Guns and Roses Guitarist Hailing from Los Angeles California , recording artist Jason Fairbanks is single handedly taking the indie electronica music scene by storm. The Sonic Human Behavior founder and frontman recalls, "I knew I had to be a musician when I dug my first ditch for a landscape construction company. It was like having my balls put in a vice, stepped on by an elephant, and kicked by Bruce Lee-all at the same time. It was truly "Painful!",I hated it. This was the turning point when I realized music is what I love and I want to do it for a living.” Laden with soulful autobiographical influence and personal angst, Fairbanks ’ music is a tormented opus fraught with demons who dance perilously along the edges of insanity and back. The Sonic Human Behavior signature sound, largely influenced by Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, Enigma, Slayer, and The Misfits, is a verifiable departure from what has traditionally been considered “electronic music.” Fairbanks musical work embodies a darker hybrid synth vision that can be classified as an avant-garde fusion of indie-post-punk-retro-electronica. Musical greats such as Dave Krusen (Pearl Jam), Zoli Tegles (Pennywise), Kelli Scott ( Failure,Queens of the Stone Age),have all contributed their unique sounding signature textures to Sonic Human Behavior’s groundbreaking album “LIFE.” Consequently, it is no coincidence that the album earned early accolades from arguably Fairbanks largest supporter Slash (Guns and Roses) who specifically calls the LIFE album “Killer” and “Amazing!” After a lengthy European tour, Fairbanks/Sonic Human Behavior penetrated top Hollywood Hotspots and performed with bands such as The Fixx, Ignite, and The Zoli Band. From the Troubadour, Viper Room, Key Club, Knitting Factory, Fairbanks/Sonic Human Behavior wagged tongues and garnered interest from Universal Records. Now, with three songs featured in the upcoming 2013 art house contemporary docudrama "Once Upon A Superhero," the LIFE album seems destined for sensation. Sonic Human Behavior fans are uncharacteristically loyal in this short attention span disposable hero era. Fairbanks sites his fans as his motivating force and credits them as the primary drivers who are catapulting his album into success. “A turning point in my music was when I received an email from a person in Hong Kong, who I’ve never met, in a country I have never set foot on, and they wrote, "Dear Jason, that song really helped me get through a difficult time, I completely understand what you are saying, I too went through the same thing. .Thank you...” Fairbanks says with a sense of genuine gratitude, “One of the great rewards of writing music is not always money, drugs, or chicks, but rather the connections and relationships you make from understanding the listener. When I write music, I want the listener to feel as emotional as I was at the time the song was written. I do that by recording a time of life it into a song. This is where the name of the album (LIFE) comes from. This album literally is my life…the words are my song.”
