BlackBloom was formed in early 2005 by Nickolas Heim and Brandon Hagen, the pair recruited keyboardist Scott Miller and drummer Kurt Droessler later that year. BlackBloom spend it's formative years compiling original material and playing shows around the Midwest. In 2008 BlackBloom welcomed guitarist Bobby Bradford to the band and with their line up solidified the band began work on their debut album entitled, "Silence and Sound."
Most of 2008 was spend arranging material for their first album "Silence and Sound" while the band continued to expand their audience throughout the Midwest. At the beginning of 2009, BlackBloom was ready to head to the studio, after the departure of keyboardist turned producer Scott Miller, the band went into the studio to record tracks that would become, "Silence and Sound."
In the fall of 2009 BlackBloom released, "Silence and Sound,"unleashing their unique brand of rock n roll to the world. Over the past year they have also had the opportunity to open for such acts as Collective Soul, Lou Gramm of Foreigner, The Heavenly States and Papa Roach. BlackBloom continues to expand their audience across the region with their energetic live show and plan to go back into the studio in 2010 for their follow up release to "Silence and Sound."
