Black Olive Jazz features stunning vocals and a rhythm section powered with a percussive Mediterranean touch. Performing classic songs from the Golden Age of the American Songbook with a vocal jazz repertoire from the enduring masters of the art form-- including Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, the Gershwins, Rodgers and Hart, Harold Arlen, Cole Porter; --and songwriters from Europe and Latin America--Consuelo Velaquez, Cesar Portillo De La Luz, Ary Borroso, A.C. Jobim, Bruno Martino, and many more. Vocalist Kay Andreas brings these two traditions together with an all star ensemble of San Francisco legends. Available to perform in duo, trio, ensemble or big band.

Kay Andreas of Black Olive Jazz teaches Drama at Stanford University, and is a professional actress. Her CD, Black Magic, has received airplay on the jazz station, KCSM and sells on CD Baby.

Kay performs at many venues, educational institutions and benefits in the San Francisco Bay Area and Sonoma, including The Union Street Festival, the Art Deco celebration at the Union Square San Francisco, Herbst Theater Green Room, Corte Madera Center Summer Music Series, The Cliff House, Agenda Lounge, Santana Row Jazz Series, Octavia Lounge, Turtle Bay Restaurant, Café Fino, Ledson Winery, Gundlach Bundschu Winery, Bartholomew Park Winery Jazz Series, Joe’s of Lafayette, Brazen Head Breast Cancer Benefit, Stanford University, City College of San Francisco, Santa Clara U, San Jose State U, and UC Santa Cruz.
