At the Lockport Battle of the Bands, Ryan said to Gino, "Let's make a band." Gino of course replied with, "YA." Several months passed without speaking of the project until it came up in another conversation. Ryan ran into Christian at a basketball game, knowing that Christian was a singer Ryan told him about the project and of course he said yes too. Needing a bass player, Ryan talked to his friend Adam later that week and asked him to be part of the project. Adam of course said yes. After a couple tryouts for a drums, Darren joined the band and the band finally had a drummer. After awhile Darren left the band due to prior scheduling obligations. Ryan then asked Steve to join the band, in which of course he said yes too. Adam and Gino both decided to leave the band for unknown reasons, but Christian decided to do double duty as being both a bass player and the lead singer, forming the Blind Dogs With Confidence current lineup. The name "Blind Dogs With Confidence" came from a story that Ryan was telling his cousin and his aunt about a blind dog that he saw run into a couch, getting a reply of "ya it's like a blind dog with confidence."
