The name “Bo Latham” is quickly spreading across his home state since the November 2011 release of his second mixtape, “Do Cool Things And Be Famous.” Backed by Bad Crowd Music Group, Latham is widely considered one of the most promising young independent hip-hop artists on the Gulf Coast.   With a suburban background and a college education, Bo Latham is not your poster child for rap music. However, Latham’s appeal comes from using this to his advantage. In a market of young, upper-class university students, Latham only sticks out of the crowd when he steps on stage. Labeled by many online music critics as “frat rap,” Latham combines an urban edge with his suburbia lifestyle to showcase his talents.   As a student at the University of Alabama, Bo Latham began acquiring a niche following of hip-hop fans in the Tuscaloosa community. Following his graduation in December 2011, the demand for Bo Latham’s music was at an all time high. As attendance numbers at live shows continued to surge, Latham quit his post-college job hunt and dedicated his energy solely to music.   Bo Latham’s music is free to stream and download at: BoLatham.Bandcamp.com.
