Producer / Rapper Brandon Carter was born and raised on Chicago’s South Side. While growing up in a gang-infested area of the South Side, Brandon sought refuge in music and sports. While attending college at Howard University, Brandon officially began his music career by opening shows for national artist like LL Cool J, T.I., Fabolous, and Kanye West.After a failed deal with a major record label and two independent labels Brandon moved to NYC. Brandon’s plan was to release his self produced album via his own independent record label HIGH LIFE ENTERTAiNMENT(which he co-founded with his Manager Kyle Devesty).Brandon and his father spent months writing a business plan together and finding an investor to fund the project. After months of work Brandon finally secured funding for his album, produced the entire CD himself and the same week that the CD was finally availableBrandon’s Father committed suicide.In Loving memory of his father, Brandon is donating 100% of his artist royalty’s for sales of his debut album (South Side Bravado) to charity.
