Reece Lamppa-Vocals John Palmer-Guitars Dan Rosenbush-Bass Peter Barnes-Drums Armed with a fervent attitude, child-like energy, and a belief in the healing and world changing power of music, Bright Lights & Heroes arose from the quiet suburb of Lakeville, MN with the notion that the human spirit can transcend the boundaries of rock. On a journey of musical and emotional exploration, the group yearns for that higher place, where a song can become something spiritual. Built with the textured guitars of John Palmer, the melodic bassline of Dan Rosenbush, the soulful drumming of Peter Barnes, and Reece Lamppa’s lifting vocals, are soaring anthems about love, loss, and hope. Their passionate curiosity with the human spirit has made way for comparisons to bands such as U2 and Coldplay. Sonic hymns like “Glow” and “Zero Gravity” have been the cornerstone to the group’s sound. Soul-stirring songs like “Heartbreak Hill” also take you on an emotional journey, and allow the band to leave everything on the stage. “We are obsessed with the fact that the world can be changed by rock and roll. There are so many songs out there written from an empty place. The world doesn’t need another band writing empty music, it needs music from the soul, given with grace,” Reece said. The band believes that it’s not just about the music, but also about what can be done with the music. It’s about the idea that music can be used to better the world, be a voice for the voiceless, and bring light to a darkened place. Not longing to be just another band, they’re four brothers on a quest to change the world, and that quest starts on the stage. They have gained the reputation for being a great live act, playing at venues like The Fine Line, First Avenue/ 7th Street Entry, Station 4, The Dakota County Fair, and the Minnesota State Fair. The band has always tried to bridge the gap between themselves and the audience. Look for them to do so in the days to come as they change the atmosphere of the music industry. Bright Lights & Heroes is sure to be a household name in the future.
