The band was founded in May 2006 entitled Searching Brain. It was in 6th class elementary school. At that time the group was founded by Daniel Kompas (acoustic guitar), along with Adam Å petik (drums), George Sobol (keyboard, acoustic guitar) and Luke Votava (bass guitar).

The band was founded in May 2006 entitled Searching Brain. It was in 6th class elementary school. At that time the group was founded by Daniel Kompas (acoustic guitar), along with Adam Å petik (drums), George Sobol (keyboard, acoustic guitar) and Luke Votava (bass guitar).
The band played only acoustic and without drums. The band played in George’s garage, but after some time has been fired because of electricity blackouts. Leaving Luke Votava due to lack of time. After a year, in May 2007 the band noted the arrival of a new member Rostislav Jordan (acoustic guitar). Month after the arrival of Rostislav, the band came to another guitarist Martin Benda, who retired in November 2007. And band changed the name to the Longhorns. The band played at Rostislav’s home and then in drummer's house in Hnanice, where the band plays to even today. The band was searching for a singer, but didn't find noone.
At Christmas 2007, members purchased electric guitars with combos and drummer drums. Soon after it came to the band new singer Luboš Novák. His voice was great, but could not speak English. Luboš retired in spring 2008, so the band was again without a singer.
Band was seeking for singer and found Michael Kravec, coming in May 2008. Group therefore consisted of Rostislav - guitar, Daniel - Guitar, Adam - drums, George - bass guitar, Michal - vocals. But George leaved the band because of own decisions. So Michal played bass guitar and band was without singer again. The band played for some time without the singer, and changed its name to Broken Smile, which is today. At this time, songs emerged Stop that, Appeal, I'm sorry. Holidays in 2008 the band had its first assembly and the occupation was following: Rostislav - guitar Daniel - guitar, Michal - bass guitar Adam - drums.
Michal wanted to leave the band because he would not play the bass guitar. In August the band had its second assembly where songs emerged Choice and Guilty. In that time singer Paul Mašek arrived, he found us on the ad. In August 2008 Daniel took over the bass and Michal took guitar.
Since September 2008, the band began to play regularly and at constant composition: Rostislav - guitar Daniel - bass guitar, backing vocals, Michael - solo guitar, Adam - drums, Paul – vocals. In October 2008 the band had its third assembly and was in full composition, the first sound recording demos of songs I'm sorry, Guilty and Appeal.
