Born in March of 1989, singer songwriter Bryan Hansen developed his life around music from an early age. After sparking interest in his father’s 76’ Fender Stratocaster, Hansen embellished playing the guitar after a fresh set of strings and hours of arduous lessons conducted by father, Ken Hansen. Drawing inspiration from the musical geniuses of Dave Matthews and John Mayer, Bryan Hansen began writing music on acoustic guitar, which mixed the styles of both artists in addition to adding his own musical textures. High School Provided proof that the arts was where Hansen excelled after an impressive run in the prestigious Edison High School Choir conducted by Ken Brown and multiple victories in the various talent competitions run by the High School. Becoming a local denizen of the clubs and stages around his hometown of Edison, New Jersey Bryan Hansen was no stranger to playing and performing in the notorious music scenes in his area. The Court Tavern in New Brunswick, Chubby’s in Red Bank, Bar Anticipation in Belmar, The Legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, and The Village Underground in NYC are just a few of the staples that have been labeled as his musical roots. Aside from his own work, Hansen made a name for himself in 2007 with his performances in Theater capturing audiences in both Edison High School’s 2007 Cabaret playing the role of Emcee and in July, Play’s In The Park’s Buddy Holly Story’s ten night run as a Cricket in Holly’s infamous band. These days Bryan Hansen is focusing on taking his talents and passion for music to the next level. Those of whom who have had the chance to see him perform live rave about the maturity of his voice and musicianship bearing a strong stage presence and connection between song and audience. Whichever way life chooses to direct Bryan Hansen it is said without question that music will be leading the way.
