Cambion was formed in the winter of 2006 by guitarist Charlie Salto and vocalist Matt Gray. Originally a strictly writing project, taking advantage of Matt's clever lyrics and Charlie's driving and dynamic guitar playing, the duo was soon joined by drummer Jonathan Abarca. Originally a strictly writing project, taking advantage of Matt's clever lyrics and Charlie's driving and dynamic guitar playing, the duo was soon joined by drummer Jonathan Abarca. Jon's stylized drumming would lend a foundation to Cambion's songs, changing the focus from strictly writing to a more open view, including performing. In search of a more unique sound, the band brought in keyboardist Jake Glickman. At the time the band was unaware that he would be the perfect bass player for Cambion. Cambion's songs bewitch those who hear them with their variety and freshness, combining beguiling lyrics and catchy choruses, with silver tongued vocals and tight professional playing.
