Somewhere in the spring of 1997, Owa met the Strunk brothers Jeremy and Tim. As it turned out, he and Jeremy could write well together. Before too long, they had a pile of original rock songs. After the combined efforts of various musicians, the four year old fledgling rock band Canis Lupus came to a close. Most all expectations of the band dissolved at that point.
But Owa kept writing lyrics, refining what he had, and taking the time to sober up; Jeremy stayed with the team, as did his broth...

After the combined efforts of various musicians, the four year old fledgling rock band Canis Lupus came to a close. Most all expectations of the band dissolved at that point.
But Owa kept writing lyrics, refining what he had, and taking the time to sober up; Jeremy stayed with the team, as did his brother Tim. The Strunk brothers both also played with numerous local music acts. In 2004, Tim played with a band called Avoiding Dawn. That connection brought in new drummer Colin Young. Owa had also been talking with and working with his high school friend/guitar player, Rich Byers. From that collaboration came the Canis Lupus band heard today.
We began to play shows, write music, and learn a pile of cover songs. After earning and saving money, "the band" purchased a Woot home studio computer. Since then, we have been diligently recording our originals. All of our hard work, patience, talent, and psycho-therapy seems to be paying off. Between our back room studio, and self made production team, Canis Lupus is beginning to show the potential that has been stewing just under the surface all of these years. We have our copyrights on 15 songs and a stock of unfinished and finished new material. Soon, we will release a CD highlighting all of our efforts. But for now we are keeping our ears to the grindstone.
