Canon Chorus formed in 2008 when former members of The Great Physician sought a refreshing sound along with a new repetoire of songs. Jeff Carlson (lead vocals), Matt Giles (lead guitar), and Yale Nelson (keyboard) have taken an array of industry knowledge and song-writing experience, while working with the new talent of Sara Horishnyk (drums) and Andrew Nisen (bass). Canon Chorus formed in 2008 when former members of The Great Physician sought a refreshing sound along with a new repetoire of songs. Jeff Carlson (lead vocals), Matt Giles (lead guitar), and Yale Nelson (keyboard) have taken an array of industry knowledge and song-writing experience, while working with the new talent of Sara Horishnyk (drums) and Andrew Nisen (bass). Since recording a five song booster in early 2009, Canon Chorus has been developing their presence in the Minneapolis indie rock scene by playing venues such as The Fine Line and The Turf Club, occaissionally playing with violinist Jess Crary. Furthermore, they are also recording the final tracks for their debut LP to be released in fall of 2009. Canon Chorus is currently signed to local record company New Tectonics based out of Minneapolis, MN.
