Carly Tefft is an 18 year old alternative singer/songwriter from Cape Cod, MA and is currently studying at Berklee College of Music. With inspirations from ranging the Police, Carol King, Gavin DeGraw, Jason Mraz and Colbie Calliat, Carly puts a contemporary and alternative spin on the genre singer/songwriter. When she picked up the guitar at age thirteen, she started to get serious about music as she entered high school. A year later, her first open mic appearance landed her an interview with a featured story Cape Healing Arts Magazine. All through high school she continued to write songs, continually polishing her craft. At the end of her senior year, she released her self-produced EP, "Carly Tefft" on which she played all of the instruments (drums, bass, guitar, piano, and vocals) on ten original tracks.   Throughout the last four years, she has performed alongside Entrain, Emily Elbert, Phone Calls From Home, Jackson Weetherbee Band, Beautiful Tuesday, The Varsity Girls, Flipside and more.   Carly has performed at locations throughout the Cape and South Shore such as the Cape Cod Melody tent at WCOD’s Chowder Festival, The Pinehils, The Island Merchant, British Beer Company, Grange Hall, Ghelfi’s Candies, 3065 Live!, Knight of Columbus, Mockingbird Studios and more.   She has performed, interviewed and featured on Radio 92.9fm WBOS “Boch Studio Lunch,” 95.9fm WATD South Shore Live and Twilight Showcase Radio, 90.7fm “Local Lunch” and on 92.7fm WMVY.   Now currently completeing her first year at Berklee College of Music, she prepares to release her 5 song EP, “Loud and Clear” in late February 2012.   What’s next on the agenda for Carly Tefft you may ask?
