About carnivalknights

Vancouver, Canada

Hailing from Vancouver, Carnival Knights deliver everything that's honest, real and true of rock music, showcasing the sure, fine melodic talents hidden away in the steep valleys of British Columbia. Their own resonating portrayal of electric blues coupled with a natural alt – indie flair immediately found the musicians a loyal following - ever massing with each show. 2008 saw friends Sir John the 6th and fellow guitarist Digory hard to work, writing and recording. No sooner were they joined by both Blackie - skilled beat maker, and Medicine Man - systematic rhythm keeper, completing the collective thereafter bestowed 'Carnival Knights' and adding the quintessential final touches to their first record. Off the back of this E.P, it's sub sequential tour and the stir this band caused amongst their hometown fellows - not to mention Vancouvers' illustrious live music scene, the band met the friendly family at Mushroom Studios where, in late spring of 2009, they recorded their first full length album; Jackknife Queen, released in the last tentative days of September this year. The quartet are intently set for the road ahead of them; after releasing debut album Jackknife Queen early this fall, they're rapidly building a valid name for themselves along the west coast - the rest of Canada keen in their sights. Under the guise of Jackknife Queen, the Knights are upping the ante of their forthcoming tour with various shows around the lower mainland and Vancouver, having already played alongside many of B.Cs favourites and opening up for artists such as the acclaimed Incura this Halloween. With the passing of each club, bar and venue, the buzz surrounding the masqueraded four heightens, leaving no doubt in anyone's mind the prolific future this band holds high ahead of them.
