The Band Category IV was created in 2003 by founding members Bass Player Jon Hawks and Lead Vocalist Donnie Kuhn. After playing multiple venues the band received a record contract from the independent label Spotlight Records. In 2005 the band released their debut album The Storm to very strong reviews. After playing multiple venues the band received a record contract from the independent label Spotlight Records. In 2005 the band released their debut album The Storm to very strong reviews. From the time of the albums release until now there have been a few band member changes. Dave Woolever is now on drums and Scott Johnson is the new lead guitarist. These new additions bring experience and a new dynamic to the already solid core of Category IV. The band is in the process of writing and recording new songs, currently booking shows, and searching for a label.
