Cecili would stay up late reading the album covers line by line. It was then that her interest in music was initially sparked.
In search of a deeper relationship with music than everyday radio play as a teen, Cecili became enamored with the alternative music and classic rock. This was a sort of musical discovery period in her life spent experiencing Bjork, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Stone Temple Pilots, Led Zeppelin, the Ramones and many other bands.
Her father retired in Atlanta and she attended college there and honed her skills as a professional backup and studio singer, yet Cecili always had her mind set on her own music as a solo artist.
Along the road in her life all signs are currently pointing her in this direction, each step along the way has revealed more about who Cecili Simmons is musically.
Her latest project is still under construction but as each song is completed we are introduced and welcomed to travel into her world even more.
