To Be Young is the threshold of life. For C.O.A (Center Of Attention), the threshold is more than just life, it's music. To Be Young is the threshold of life. For C.O.A (Center Of Attention), the threshold is more than just life, it's music. They are improving in that music at the rate that LeBron does on the basketball court. For Jordan "J-Whittit" Whittaker and Chris "C-Rico" Colon, like LeBron, the skies the limit. The history of COA has one constant: Chris and Jordan. They initially started rapping together in 8th grade, but didn't last long, they split in 9th grade. By 10th grade they were back together, this time with two new faces, Antwi and Cash. Cash's stay with the group was short and he eventually dropped out; Antwi's was a little longer, staying two years with Chris and Jordan. But by their senior years they decided they really wanted it, and set their sights on rap, but Antwi didn't see the same thing and gracefully split. 5 years later, COA was Chris and Jordan, and this time they were serious and drastically improved. Some artists are very entrenched in one type of Hip-Hop. They have their own corner and rarely venture far out of it. COA is like a Muhammad Ali or a Larry Holmes, they're all over the ring. They can go gangsta like classic NWA, get the club jumping like Lil Jon's "Get Low", or make your girl swoon over them like classic LL Cool J, all with originality and are never cliched. Center Of Attention Today unknown; Tomorrow well known. Like NWA and Outkast before them, one deal, one show, one big break and C.O.A could be as well known as them. The group made up of Jordan “J-Whittit” Whittaker and Christopher C-Rico” Colon has been working independently in Torrington, CT for the last few years. Although they are young and often over looked these two possess a hunger for success unmatched by many artists today. You listen to a COA track and it seems like your listening to a top twenty album. Their versatility in music is that of the greats. With the ability to make a hip-hop love song like Fabolous, then switch it up and go gangsta like Ice Cube, then make a club banger like 50's In Da Club, you know COA is built for success. If you’ve listened to COA you can hear their rapid improvement, and realize that their peak is far away. To exemplify they are talented and young and still have time to grow in the music industry and reach the top of their peak. All COA needs is for you to listen to their music and show some love because Today they are unknown but who knows what the Lord has planned for them Tomorrow.
