Chance started rapping at the age of twelve greatly influenced by the late Outkast, Common, Jay Z, Erykah Badu, Ryan Leslie, Lupe fiasco, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne. Chance began performing around Atlanta in 2006- 2007 with various rap groups but eventually left the group to pioneer on other solo projects. Utmost Ent.
