Channel 77 is a pop punk band from Kingston, Ontario that formed on January 1st, 2008. For the first year, they couldn't really decide what they wanted to sound like because the three musicians have different musical influences. Channel 77 is a pop punk band from Kingston, Ontario that formed on January 1st, 2008. For the first year, they couldn't really decide what they wanted to sound like because the three musicians have different musical influences. Stuart has a lot of Alternative Rock influence, Johnny has a lot of Pop-Punk influence, and Eric has a lot of classical and progressive influence. It was hard getting shows for the first year because nobody knew what type of music they were, and were afraid no one would like it. Year 2, Johnny comes in with a song called "One Thing". The band played through it, and loved it. They decided to be a pop-punk alternative group. Channel 77 is keen to always put on a good show for everybody, and give everyone a great time.
