Cleveland’s own Check 12 (pronounced Check Twelve) was formed in November 1999 by veterans of the Cleveland music scene for over 10 years each. Check 12's CD, entitled N.S.F., was written, recorded, mastered and produced entirely by the band. The all-digital recorded CD features both electric and acoustic rock pieces with strong vocal harmonization. For several years, Check 12 has also participated in the Cleveland Music Festival. The band was considered one of the top 5 bands out of the over 200 bands that were involved in the festival and played the showcase event at the Odeon. Check 12 also had the most ticket sales of any band in its genre for the festival. Check 12 also had the privelege to open for national act Seven Mary Three at Peaboby's in Cleveland, Ohio.
