There have been MANY China White's over the past 20 or so years however this was the high-energy rock n roll band from New Jersey. They had gigged extensively along the tri-state area circuit where the band has headlined as well as opened for national acts. China White's music has an alternative feel with strong guitars and a mixture of pop melodies. Their melodic sound is captured with a lyrical meaning that is true to each of the songs which defines that of today's music. The early 90's saw China White grow to be one of the most popular bands along the east coast. Their recordings have sold well at their shows and record outlets all around the tri-state area, in addition to receiving lots of airplay on many of the stations on the east coast. China White's name and music has created a strong and dedicated following. To describe China White in one summary would be too limiting ... for this band was beyond extraordinary.
Sadly, China White disbanded in 1996 but they got back together in 1999 for a reuninon show and even recorded some new material. The new millenium saw CW perform a few more times and the band's last show took place at the Birch Hill Night Club in July of 2001 ... This space was created to keep the music and memories alive (no wait what?), and to put the huge collection of media in one place.
1990 - 2001 ... It's been fun!!!
