In 2003, he went back to Sierra Leone and spent about four years incorporating African, reggae, calypso and soca styles into his music. His musical style can be described as a unique and creative blend of lover's rock, R&B, hip-hop and rap. Chino Green has an authentic and refreshing singing and rapping style. His sound is not only influenced by contemporary artists but also by his father's collection of vinyl popular and international records and tapes of the 70's, 80's and 90's during his younger years.
Chadd Swift (not pictured), a native of Champaign, Illinois, is a beat maker and DJ whose creativity on the synthesizer and piano produces great hip-hop and dance beats. He has been a DJ since he was twelve years old and has worked with several artists in the central Illinois area. Chadd Swift spent four years in the U.S. army serving his country. His close attention to detail, precision and an ear for great sounds make this husband and father, a beat maker to reckon with. His inventive and stimulating beats are influenced by many great producers and artists of yesterday and today, posted on the walls of his home.
Chino Green & DJ Chadd Swift reside in Champaign, Illinois where they have individually sought radio-play, participated on local radio contests, and performed locally.
