It all started back in 1997, I was just 17 and my friends and I started writing rap poems in class and we'd share them with each other at lunch break. It all started back in 1997, I was just 17 and my friends and I started writing rap poems in class and we'd share them with each other at lunch break. We continued doing this for days until my best friend Paul Dommert came up with an idea to put a group together and call it Esoteric. We got John Alanis to play drums, Chris Russo to play guitar and David Taggart to play keyboard while I played bass. We all practiced in a room behind my house in the country area of Gilroy, CA. Then in 1998 a company called Newcastle Productions came to town and was going to start putting on shows at The Gaslighter music hall on Monterey and 6th St. in Gilroy. They were looking for a band from Gilroy High school that would draw the highschool kids to the shows. They heard about us and asked us if we'd be interested in opening for some big bands they were about to bring into town. Without hesitation we said "We're in there like swimwear!". So they started putting on shows there and brought in bands like Papa Roach, Incubus, Sevendust, Snot and Suicidal Tendancies. It was incredible folks! We were doing shows every week for approximately 6 months. Although I began having this itch to be the singer for a band instead of a bass player. So I got on the horn and contacted another drummer(James Hunter), bassistSean Lalor), and guitarist(Fino Muro) I knew. We got together and started jamming in James' garage until we had like five songs. Then we started playing parties and shows once and a while around the Gilroy area. Next we heard about a battle of the bands going on at the Gaslighter music hall so we entered immediately and ended up getting 2nd place! We won some recording time at Rajin studio in Gilroy and recorded three of our favorite songs we had and put out a demo The songs were "Unbalanced", "Blank Name" and "Peroxide". So we started passing out demo's all around town and doing more shows. We called our band Hostile Agency. Then in 1999 three of my best friends, Paul Dommert, Dave West, and Brooks Nobil wanted to put a rap group together and call it "Euphonic Flux" meaning, a flow of words especially pleasing to the ear. So we would get together once and a while and write songs. And I had some recording equipment so we recorded a CD and they all wanted to start doing shows. But since I was still in Hostile Agency I decided to quit the band and put all my energy into Euphonic Flux with my best friends. Then we began doing shows at the Gaslighter and tore the place apart every time we rocked it and drew crowds that packed the place wall to wall. Those of you who remember please sign the message board with comments about it and I'll get back to you. Then in 2000 since I had all the recording equipment at my house I started writing solo songs and recording it all myself. I made the beats and did the scratches as well. I've been performing solo for a while now and things are going well. I'm 27 now and doing shows as often as I can.
