Chris was born in Beaver Oklahoma and then moved to the little town of Protection Kansas before starting second grade. Protection is where his father is from originally. His mother's parents have been in Texas just outside of Waco for as long as he can remember. Protection is the home of 2000 olympic high jumper Nathan Leeper, PRCA steer wrestler Jule Hazen, and world renown artist Stan Herd. There is a bit to be proud of in the little town considering the population is around 580 people. Chris has always been involved in music, from school musicals, church programs, and an occasional talent show. After school and getting married three years later in 1996, he decided to join the Navy in 2000. He served his four year enlistment on board a submarine, the U.S.S. Maryland SSBN 738 (Blue Crew). He left the Navy in 2004 a decorated sailor to persue his music career. Chris played in several bands before, during, and after the Navy ranging from rock, pop, to metal as lead guitarist and vocalist in some. Not satisfied with the music, he kept writing his own songs that kept taking him back to his roots. Country was true to his heart, but not his band mates style. So in a store in Medicine Lodge Kansas he ran into a man who persuaded him to pursue country music on his own and sing his own songs that he wrote. The man just happened to be the father of Martina McBride. Figuring the advice was from a good source, he took it. It was the best advice he ever got about his career. It was a few years later when the finances came for recording. He went to Green Jeans Studios in Wellington Kansas where he found an excellent producer Carter Green, who happened to have one of the only ProTools HD systems in the area. Knowing that ProTools HD is the best sounding, and used in all the major recording studios, he decided to use Carter's studio. It was a good match and the chemistry worked. Hoping to move into the popular music scene in the Midwest, he has set his sights high. Chris is moving forward with his career and is determined to hit the ground running. His music has been consistently turning heads. Fans came on board extremely fast, and are supporting with outstanding numbers. The rest is history in the making....
