Growing up as a kid I remember listening to the radio and knowing every word to every song. As far back as I can remember I have always loved singing, and music has always been my true passion although it wasn’t until far later in life that I truly came to this realization. I played piano when I was younger and actually became pretty good at it but gave it up because "it wasn’t the cool thing to do" at the time (something I regret to this day). When I was 17 I met Rachael, my best friend and soon to be partner in life. I knew at that time that she was the one I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I also knew that college wasn’t for me, and it was time to go out into the real world and establish a solid career so I could provide for myself and my future family. I chose construction (which was the natural choice) because my dad was in construction and I had grown up around it my whole life. Turned out to be the right decision because it has afforded me and my family a very nice lifestyle to date. I married my amazing and beautiful wife Rachael when I was 20. When I was 25 my daughter Faith was born, and when I was 28 my son Devin was born. All three of these decisions are the best things I have done and will have ever done in life. Although I always felt like there was something missing in my life, so after my son was born I went out and bought a guitar and started teaching myself how to play. I also took a notebook with me everywhere I went and just started writing. Over the last 5 or 6 years I would write about anything and everything. My experiences in the game of life, love, relationships, and who I am, as well as where I am in life. Writing songs about finding out who you are and songs that define yourself as a person. I was surprised how writing songs just came naturally to me. The great thing about music and what makes it so beautiful is that something you write and is so personal to you, can be and mean something so totally different to others and can touch them in so many different ways. Originally born and raised in Chicago, in March of 2007 by way of Jackson, Mississippi (where I experienced first hand the devestation of Hurricane Katrina) I took a great job opportunity and moved to Southern California to pursue my music. I am currently in the process of recording my first album, and hope to have it complete in early 2008. I will be putting new songs from the album on my page as I have them complete. I hope you enjoy, and thanks to my amazing wife, my two kids, and all of my family and friends from which I draw true inspiration. One thing I know for sure is that life is too short so if you have a passion or a dream grab on to it, hold tight and chase it because you never know what might happen, or where it may take you
