Christine Magee

Born and raised in Vancouver, Christine has shown a love for music ever since age 5. Continuous involvement in school music programs lead her to obtain her Bachelor of Music from UBC. Currently running her own private music studio, Christine teaches over 40 students weekly with expertise in piano, voice, and guitar. Aside from teaching, she has sung with a variety of musical groups, including Canada’s leading chamber vocal ensemble, musica intima, of whom she recently toured Canada with. Christine has also been composing & arranging music since 2002, and in 2007 debuted her first full-length album of original songs, entitled “Overcome”. In turn, Christine was able to bring home the award for “Best jazz/blues song of the year” from the GMA Canada awards. She draws musical inspiration from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin & Ray Charles, and more contemporary icons such as Alicia Keys & Christina Aguilera. From soul-pop, to gospel, to rock with a classical edge, her music combines an eclectic mix of styles together with the intention of offering a variety to both mainstream & christian audiences. With her music, she has been able to tour BC and other parts of Canada. Christine’s future goal is to land a recording contract, continue to release new albums, and continue to tour as much as possible.
