In the fall of 2007, singer/songwriter Kimberly Quinn and ex- The Throws bassist, Brad Weir, decided that a creative change of pace was in order. After a handful of music collaborations supporting Kimberly's solo career, a mutual decision was made to create a band to support her sound. That vision was soon enhanced by a chance meeting to Kyle Benson, ex- Roosevelts guitarist and pop genius extraordinaire. Creative chemistry between Kimberly, Brad and Kyle was immediate despite the frustration of finding a good fit in the drumming department. After deciding to perform under the nostalgic moniker, Circa 1989, Jeff Marino was gracious enough to fill in on drum duties. Even though we didn't have a full time drummer, this allowed us to stretch our creative legs and see what we were working with. April of 2008 welcomed the addition of drummer Zach Prichard into the band. Since the addition, we have been patiently crafting song structures behind closed doors in the hopes that 2008 will be filled with many opportunities to share our musical experience with Nashville.
