Citizen Joe has shared the stage with legends like; John Waite, Hal Ketchum, Men at work, Lover boy, Black Hawk and the Marshall Tucker band, just to name a few. Their style & genre: Americana rock. Hard driving acoustic & electric guitars, with the unique, brilliant and clever mandolin hooks as only played by Kurtiss. Each member has their own influences that have been honed and fused over many years of stage and recording. Sometimes its hard rockin, and sometimes its southern blues or folk. Either way, their songs have feeling and depth. During the late 90', and early 2000's, Kurtiss' brother, Glen, was his co-writing partner with tunes, You might say, Rollin and workin girl. Kurtiss' lyrics are insightful to the listener with a story and meaning. Each song is filled with guitar and mandolin hooks that will have the listener whistling the hooks upon hearing it.
