Christian Jones aka ‘CJ The Genesis’ is an up and coming artist out of the DMV. He grew up in Maryland, and has been working on music since he was 9 years old. He started off by writing poetry, and then progressed into the battle rapping scene. CJ didn’t start actually making songs until 9th grade. In the 10th grade he got into the producing scene, and has only gotten better since. Since 10th grade, he has come out with 5 mixtapes. It is hard to put CJ in a category, simply for the fact that he’s very versatile. He can make songs that will fit the radio like in his mixtape “Spaceship“, he can make songs that the hip-hop heads will love like in his mixtapes “World Domination” and “World Premier.” His mixtape, “Yea, I’m A Nerd” is all of his beats and all of the beats are made from video game samples. The project, “Hiatus” is a well-rounded project with all kinds of production that any hip-hop listener would enjoy. CJ recently released “Feng Shui” which is a project and tribute to the late, great Japanese producer, Nujabes. Lately, CJ has been working on songs, beats, and performances, as well as his next project, “Impulse” while continuing to push the “Feng Shui” project continuously. Stay tuned!
