Cody Sunbear Blackbird

From the tundra in Alaska, to the northern plains of the Dakotas, on down to the sunny swamps of Florida and further - to the shores of Australia, Cody Sunbear Blackbird has performed his personal blend of traditional native sounds His style is a new and fresh approach that blends those traditional sounds into a web that is uniquely his.

Cody's debut release, "Raven Speaks" is registered with the Native American Music Awards committee for up to 6 possible nominations. He is now an official nominee for Best Debut Artist in the 12th Annual NAMMY Awards. You can vote for him on the Native American Music Awards web site.

He will likely be one of the performers for this year's awards ceremony.

His producer from Serio Sound - Serious Sound Production was also up for a possible nomination in the Best Producer category for his work on "Raven Speaks." He made it through the semi-finals but not on to the finals.
