Michael Linden Coldiron was born February 8, 1967. As a child, I discovered music, first through the violin and then the piano. My early classical piano training provided a strong foundation that has stayed with me. As a teenager, I introduced myself to the guitar.
Early influences were Led Zeppelin, Rush, Pink Floyd, Journey and Joe Satriani. My ambition to become a professional musician began to take shape before I moved to California to attend California Polytechnic State University. While at school, I also pursued my musical interest. It wasn’t difficult to enjoy performing as a soloist and still make good grades.
With weeks shy of graduating from Cal Poly and signing a solo recording contract in 1991 (Sony—-Records), I was hit by a car. Since then due to the accident and receiving an emergency tracheotomy, I have grown with no direct path for my music.
Music is still my world. I wrote the song WAR in 1990 and recorded the song unprofessionally at a family reunion the same year. I now share my song thru the New Music Revolution, Ourstage.
Please take the time & listen to my song as I recorded it at my family's reunion in 1990. My song called "WAR" is alive today for our United States military.
"No one wanted to fight this ruthless war - Sit back idle do we know what’s in store - The knife cuts deeply right down to the core - I hate to say it - We gotta fight this war…….... Let's not fight for oil - Let's fight for freedom - We should fight for this right to stomp a social injustice - If we don’t then who will - If we don’t then who will"
My hope is to share my words in the song "WAR" with our “Brave young Soldiers” and our nation. Thank you!
