Crowspeak is an effort to break down patterns, boundaries and forms. The words are channeled, the music is continually shape-shifting. Crowpeak moves away from perfection while moving towards a space of infinite possibility. Nothing is ever quite the same.Crowspeak started off as a solo project with spanish-style classical guitar played in a bluegrassy, jazzy, folk sorta way. It has now grown into a full size project and collaboration of members including harmonica, lapsteel guitar, keys, drums, vocals, and gut bucket. The songs on Crowspeaks first album were recorded in Santa Barbara at the end of 2007, by Jalin and Seamus Cuddy Thompson (from Austin, TX). Seamus plays lead on a few songs, and slide guitar on others. Jalin is on vocals, harmonica, classical guitar, and vocal harmonics.
