Crucial Conflict, Chicago's hip hop icons, are the creators of bounce music and a major influence on the sound of hip hop in today's music. Band members include Coldhard, Wildstyle, Kilo, and Never of Buckwild Records. The band topped Billboard charts in 1996 when the group released the smash, hit single, "HAY in the middle of the Barnnnnn!" from the album the Final Tic, on Pallas Universal Records. Crucial Conflict became the first rap group from the Midwest to have a household name with platinum & gold record status. They appeared on shows such as Good Morning America, Apollo, YO! MTV Raps, Rap City, and BET Sound Stage. The band has also made a cameo appearance in the film Belly. The group partook in the historical photo shoot for the Greatest Day In Hip-Hop History in Harlem, New York, along with several legends of hip hop. Crucial Conflict made the front cover of magazines such as the Source, Murder Dog, Vibe, and XXL. The group headlined major shows for artist such as RUN D.M.C, Public Enemy, Sugar Hill Gang, Jay Z & many more. With their rapid fire rap style & energetic hyper performance, Crucial Conflict has always been a fan favorite.
