Danny was born in Trenton, Michigan and is the second child of Wayne and MaryAnn Wooten, who was raised with his brothers in the small community of New Boston on the outskirts Detroit, Michigan. He comes from a working class family in which his mother was a full time housewife and his father worked in asphalt paving for more than 30 years. Danny has been consumed with passion for music from the first moment he played his father's guitar at the age of 5. He credits Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Don Dokken as his inspiration. He grew up listening to his father's Elvis and Johnny Cash records, but in his teen years became a die hard Dokken fan. He formed his first band in high school; performed in school productions; and also performed at many after school parties. He joined a local band Hardluck as lead guitarist after graduating from High School. He recorded and released his first single "Love is a Lie" in July of 1996. In early 2004 he joined Fountain of Youth as rhythm guitarist and vocalist and played in large venues in Detroit and surrounding cities. In 2005, Fountain of Youth produced and recorded "No Panoramic View" and distributed several hundred copies in the Detroit Metro area. In the fall of 2005 Danny left Fountain of Youth and moved to Florida where began writing, recording and performing his own music in a local studio. He has produced and recorded more than 15 songs in the last couple of years and has had the pleasure of working with John Galvin of Molly Hatchet, Gary Michaels, drummer for Bob Seger (Fire Inside album), and Charlie Hargrett, founding member and lead guitarist of Blackfoot while re-recording "Love is a Lie" in 2007. Danny signed with Tate Music Group in late 2009. His first self titled album is scheduled for its national release in August 2010. His backup band, Southern Slang has been instrumental in developing the unique "southern country rock" sound. When asked how long he plans on being in the business he replies "As long as there's someone who wants to hear it, I'm gonna be there to play it!"
