Portrait of D Brown Detroit

D Brown Detroit

About D Brown Detroit

Detroit, MI

He's a smooth and gentle singer with enough power to charge the souls of his listeners with mounds of excitement and intrigue. He's a prolific songwriter with lyrics that charm and mesmerize all in the same verse. He's an outstanding producer with a sound that's all his own. He's a talented pianist. His vocals range from Baritone to Tenor with an exceptionally pristine falsetto to rival that of Babyface and Maxwell. His fourteen (14) song, self-titled, debut, solo album " The D Brown LP " describes the ups and downs and other REAL aspects of Love. NOT JUST SEX. The D Brown LP takes a real grown up look at love and life and touches on other real matters of the heart with a since of sensitivity and compassion. He has a style unlike many musicians today. It's unique in that his music doesn't necessarily follow today's idea of hit grooves and patterns which he feels is overladen with loops and samples. He fills his music with what today's intellectual music listener knows as Real True Content. His music gives the listener something to grasp and think about, other than his own lusts, desires, wants, wishes or other superficial things this world offers. After all, he says " It's not the worlds business how I get down in private, and I don't think I have to add my whole private life to my music in order for it to sell. Music to me is more about what I can teach my listener about how I feel about different things rather than how different things make me feel." He asks: " Once you're done with all the sex, clothes, cars, and jewelry in the music, what is the listener left with? " " I think it's our responsibility to the listener to give them more than that. " ~~~Notable Quotables~~~ " Personally I like the song!, I would buy that song from you! " said Def Jam Records executive Kevin Lyles in attendance at a Detroit New Music Seminar. ( The Hit Team Forum ) " I like your style " said Rapper Ludacris in attendance at a Detroit New Music Seminar. ( The Hit Team Forum ) " And the Winner is D Brown " said WDIV Channel 4 Detroit meteorologist Chuck Gaidica who hosted the WDIV Detroit Fireworks Super-Singer Contest in 1997. And that list goes on and on. That's D. Brown.
