Dee Miyoko? People often ask me where the name comes from. It's my first initial and my middle name. Miyoko is the name of my grandmother. It means beautiful generation. :) Now that that's out of the way, I'm currently working A'Capella with my voice as my only instrument and I'm looking for honest musicians who like my sound and are interested in getting something together. Dee Miyoko? People often ask me where the name comes from. It's my first initial and my middle name. Miyoko is the name of my grandmother. It means beautiful generation. :) Now that that's out of the way, I'm currently working A'Capella with my voice as my only instrument and I'm looking for honest musicians who like my sound and are interested in getting something together. I only have the little things in my home to record so it's very raw. The little clips I put on here are just some lyric and melody ideas that have a long way to go, I just wanted to share a little of my sound. I'm your classic music virgin. I haven't performed on stage since high school, I'm now 26 years old, and I'm burning to get back out there and share my words and music with people. My super wonderful husband encouraged me to do something that he knows I love. I'm working from the bare ground up and just getting my voice out there and seeing what happens. It's unconventional to do things the way I'm doing them, starting without a band and without having been on stage for awhile but I think I have something to offer with my voice and I'm ready to get started. I have been told I have a very old fasioned R&B/Jazz sound and hope to continue in that genre. I miss the old classic sounds and styles of the past. I feel like people have forgotten about music and music has forgotten about people. The real feeling and emotion behind the lyrics and sound is getting lost in translation and the world needs more real musicians. I write about real life situations that have affected me and have affected the people in my life. You can't write about love in you've never been in love. You can't write about heartbreak if you've never been heartbroken. You can't write about anything unless it's something that you feel and somehing that you've been through. Like most people, I'v been through a lot and hope to share it with others. I only pray people are as passionate about my words and music as I am. I hope to meet some musicians, get some music together are start performing locally.
