I'm a singer/songwriter and self taught musician. I love music and performing, because since I'm kind of a shy and reserved person it's gives me a chance to say how I feel and be who I want to be. Growing up as a child I never really thought about music as something that I wanted to do as a career because at that time in my life all I cared about was acting I was in many plays through out elementary school mostly all the way up until about 4th grade, but even though I focused on acting as much as I did music I still had a love for singing. I was in chorus and I remember singing for other events as a child. Around the age of 13 I took a break from singing and acting and I focused on learning to play the keyboard I learned and mastered that in as little as 3 years which was my middle school years. Around 9th grade I decided that I didn't want to only be a musician. I also wanted to sing again because, I had began to get inspired by artist who could play instruments and sing at the same time. Starting back with singing wasn't easy though. I had forgot everything that I was taught as a child. I even noticed that my range wasn't as wide anymore (high notes mostly) but I didn't give up. I kept working at it everyday after school and before school. I would even skip school just to practice because thats how bad I wanted to sing again. Well around 11th grade all of that had payed off I was back on track and I actually knew more then I did before. I think that begin a musician helped me as a singer and even improved me more than before and being an actor helped me as a performer. Fast forward to today and I can comfortably say that I'm ready to share what I have with the world. From last year until early this year I had been writing and writing and writing trying to record my own music. I finally have that now and it's a big accomplishment for me as an artist to bump my own cd and sing my own songs that I wrote. Everyone always told me that I have something special about me and that I would go far in life with my gift. I don't know for sure what that means or where, but I'm glad that people see that in me and I do hope that I get a chance to share my music with the mass.
