Though his rhyming capability proved to be nothing but a leisure to D-FO, as the listeners grew, he began to realize what he was put here to do. D-FO brings somewhat of a tall tale to the music world. The conflict of his three alter egos, (D-FO, DJ D-FO, and Fizzle Baby) provides the drama. DJ D-FO's mixtape circuit "Eastside Maintenance" is on the rise as we speak. "I wanted to do a Gangsta Grillz type thing for us Chicago artists. I admire how the south sticks together for those type of projects, so I wanted to bring something like that to the table for the Midwest." It's not to often you see an aspiring artist helping others like himself, seek exposure to the public. His excellent DJ capabilities resides on the same pedestal of his lyrics. Fizzle Baby battles the lyrics of D-FO and tools of DJ D-FO with his out-of-the-box productions. D-FO, born (Dionte T. Alexander) on May 5, 1987, comes from southside Chicago. Growing up in a single parent household left alot of free time for him. His mother (Teronia Campbell) proved that a woman could play the male role in the household just as good as a father. "One thing I can say is the apple don't fall too far from the tree. My mother's great hustling abilities didn't come short to me." It was at the age of 11 when he began rapping with childhood friend Jeigh Diesel. In 2000, he started an entourage he called Block Lock. Childhood gang then, but overtime it has grown into an indie label with some of the hottest talent in Chicago. Critics say everyone serves their own individual purpose in Block Lock Entertainment, and their lyrics show why they are a force not to be tampered with. D-FO is currently working on projects that include Fizzle Baby Presents... The Aire (1st addition to the Eastside Maintanence circuit), The Flight Procedure, Shuttle 1987 to Genesis, The Life and Times of Tony Montana Vol.2, and etc. He feels his work is never finished. "You don't become the greatest taking days off work, if I ain't writing I'm making a beat, and if I'm not doing that I'm recording, 24/7." He made a big transition coming from 71st and Paxton.
