About Diana Rouvas
Diana Rouvas has always embraced music as a way of life. She started Writing at the age of 9, And Vocal training from 4.
At the age of 17, Diana joined the multi ARIA award-winning Tina Arena on backing vocals on a tour of France, where she performed to capacity crowds at the legendary Olympia Hall. Diana has been invited to represent her home of Australia at the Annual Australia Week G’day LA Celebrations held in Los Angeles, and more recently in New York, celebrating US achievements by Australians including Mel Gibson, Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett and Olivia Newton John.
Wielding masterful poetic and soulful integrity, Diana Rouvas is bewitching in live performance mode. This year old singer-songwriter’s sound is home to the tenacity that was the music and recording industries of the 60s and 70s. The time when songs were ‘real’ songs and singers were ‘real’ singers.
Her latest works in LA, were recorded with legendary soul-funk band Rufus (Bobby Watson – bass, Ricky Lawson – drums, Anthony Patler– keyboards/guitar). The tracks were recorded live at Track Records in Studio City, Los Angeles and produced and mixed by LA based Eve Nelson (Chaka Khan).
