VOTED KNOXVILLE'S BEST BAND by the 2008 Metro Pulse Readers Poll "The Dirty Guv'nahs play rock the way God intended" (Metro Pulse, Knoxville, TN - 1/24/08) "Stones gone southern raucousness" (Louisville Eccentric Observer, KY - 2/23/08) "a rollicking, feel-good brand of Southern rock" (The Daily Times, Maryville, TN - 5/03/07) The Dirty Guv’nahs have quickly become the most talked about rock and roll band in East Tennessee. As a six piece, The Guv’nahs naturally grip the stage with energy; the amps are always loud, the piano barreling, and the percussion makes you feel like a revolution is taking place. The songs are tight and ageless, with hooks and a sing-a-long feel that makes you swear you’ve heard them before. As quoted in the Knoxville News Sentinel, "(The live show) is like an old-time big-tent revival," vocalist/guitarist James Trimble describes. "People come in all bogged down from normal everyday life, and we try to get 'em' up for a bit. Then they go home rejuvenated or something like that. Who knows, maybe tomorrow they have a better day at work 'cause they danced all night the night before. That's why we play music." The Dirty Guv’nahs newest album “Don’t Need No Money” was released in December 2007 and is available online with iTunes and CDbaby.com .
