Gregory “Di$e Man” Reese June 14, 1986 Born in Baltimore, Maryland he grew up in Westport, one of Baltimore City’s low income areas located on the south side. Being on the Westport side of the Cherry Hill/ Westport line, street smarts was imbedded in his brain early in life due to the ongoing conflict between two connecting neighborhoods. At the age of 10 he became involved in freestyles that took place in the school cafeteria with the use of his quick wit and since of humor. From that point on rap was his passion. While growing up he would never leave out of the house without a set of dice in his pocket which led to the nick name DICE. The dollar sign came about while he was sitting around listening to Mase trying to figure out a way to be unique. As he asked family and friends what D-I-$-E spelled he continued to get the same answer, DICE. He was now Di$e, later on he would come up with a meaning for his name, due to the struggles he went through in his life, he would always keep going no matter how his luck was. “No matter how my luck is I keep rolling” became his meaning. Rapping took a back seat to playing basketball in his high school years. Through his first two years in high school basketball was the focus until the lunch room battles brought the old love back. While watching other classmates go at each other he thought to himself “They wack” and began writing again. After winning numerous battles he linked up with a young producer by the name of Chris B who was eager to get Di$e in his studio. As Di$e and Chris B evolved in their music, Di$e convinced Chris B to work with two of his friends Deuce, and Fame. Those three eventually became the group A.O.N ( All Or Nothing). Chis B became part owner of South Paw Entertainment and A.O.N was signed. Since then Di$e has done numerous songs, and had a couple of mix tapes under his belt. His first mix tape “Dollars make sense” came out in his high school days. That was the first mix tape he did with Chris B. The next project was the Southpaw Entertainment collaboration album which featured artist from the label and Di$e’s group A.O.N ( All Or Nothing). The album was sold in the Sam Goody’s, various mom and pop stores, online at CDbaby.com, and iTunes. At the end of 2006 Di$e came out with his second mix tape “On the Humble”. People said that this was the best one he has ever done. He received a lot of good responses from his fans and other local artists. He is now working on his third solo mix tape and a mix tape with his group.
